Frank L. McCray - of Miami died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at a local nursing center after an illness. He was 75. McCray was born Sept. 12, 1927, in Whitefield to Frank N. McCray and Bernice Farril McCray. He lived in Miami for the past 12 years, moving from Phoenix Arizona. He was a World War II veteran of the Navy and the Army. He was the owner and manager of a furniture store. He served 10 years as a member of the NEO Veterans Funeral detail. He married Pixie Thompson Hatcher on Sep. 12, 1993, in Oklahoma City. She survives, of the home. Burial will be in Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens cemetery, east of Miami. The military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 147 Veterans Funeral Detail.
